Data processed

The service processes request identifiers, endpoint and timing metadata, usage status, public payer addresses, payment network and token information, public transaction hashes, and settlement status where needed to provide, meter, secure, and reconcile API calls.

Customer-supplied citations, webpage URLs, and uploaded PDF bytes are processed only to produce the requested API result. Full documents, webpage bodies, citation lists, payment signatures, and secret credentials are not normal application log fields.

External services

Citation text or DOIs may be sent to Crossref for bibliographic metadata. Public webpage requests contact the requested origin. PDF processing is performed locally. When x402 payment is enabled, payment requirements and proofs are sent to OKX Onchain OS for verification and settlement.

Retention and public blockchain data

Request content is kept only as needed to process and safely retry a request. Operational, billing, audit, and security metadata is retained only for operational, accounting, legal, and dispute needs. Public wallet addresses and transaction hashes can remain permanently visible on the relevant blockchain.
