Public beta

Public beta terms

Last updated 28 July 2026. These operational terms apply to the Reference Integrity API public beta.

Permitted use

Use the API only with public webpages and documents, citations, and data you are authorized to process. Do not use it to bypass access controls, passwords, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, robots restrictions, or law; probe private networks; distribute malware; infringe rights; or create abusive load.

Beta limitations

The service is experimental and may change, throttle, suspend, or stop without notice. Results can be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important bibliographic, legal, medical, financial, or research decisions independently. Do not submit confidential, regulated, personal, export-controlled, or safety-critical material.

Payments and retries

When a route advertises x402 payment, the live HTTP 402 challenge defines the network, asset, amount, recipient, and timeout. Do not pay a challenge that differs from the published service metadata. Retry paid requests only with the documented idempotency and replay rules. Contact support with the request ID and public transaction hash for a payment dispute; never send a private key or recovery phrase.

Availability and liability

The beta is provided as available, without a promise of uptime, fitness, completeness, or uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from beta use.
